The Massacre

Spring works on a bloody World Premiere

Playwright Elizabeth Inchbald considered The Massacre to be too horrific for public consumption. Written in 1790 but never performed, it has lain untouched for over two hundred years.

Until now. The Massacre's World Premiere will soon be at the Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds, a grade 1 listed building and the only working theatre in the National Trust's portfolio.

Spring’s striking work on The Massacre has got everybody talking – including Design Week. Like the play itself, it’s bold, challenging and concise. And includes our strapline: Censored by its author. Liberated by Theatre Royal.

“Thanks so much. We love the simplicity and the power of it – well done!”

That Spring Thing

We believe you can't advertise something you know very little about. And for that reason Erika, Spring's MD, and Chris, our in-house copywriter, read this captivating play from cover to cover.
