At Spring, we’re happy to give our time and money to good causes. Here’s a few examples: Chief Springer, Erika, is on the steering committee for YES (Young Entrepreneurs Succeed) enterprise group in Lowestoft. YES aims to give young people a real opportunity to see what life is like as your own boss. We are also having strong input to the mentoring project, JUMP. Erika is also on the communications committee for Southwold & Reydon Healthy Living Centre. Spring sponsored the charity launch of the Southwold Concert Series, an evening of exquisite vocal and chamber music in the town’s historic St Edmund’s Church. It all took place on 23rd October 2008. All proceeds went to the The Suffolk Foundation. We have donated 120 hours of pro bono work to The Suffolk Foundation, and 20 hours to the Lowestoft Skate Park project. Being beside the seaside, we support the Southwold Lifeboat. Not only have we produced a fabulous postcard for them, every year we avoid the arduous task of sending Christmas cards to each other by giving them our money instead. | Spring was the ICT sponsor for the third Bario & Kelabit Highlands Food & Cultural Festival, a week of community festivites in the Kelabit Highlands of Central Borneo that has ties with The Alde Valley Food Adventures. We designed the website and posters for Sophie’s World Record, a fancy dress fun-run that raises money for The Children’s Trust, Cancer Research UK, and East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices. Spring continues to create information materials for The Fox Trust – a scheme that helps elderly people find accommodation in Southwold. We've made a sizeable donation to Compassion In World Farming because we believe there's no place for cruel factory farming practices. To make the Southwold Christmas Lights a little greener, we donated the cost of a new electric transformer to power eco-lights. The Spring team have also taken part in a mass beach clean at Southwold, and we have the photos to prove it. |
